Hi guys! I've recently moved and the internet at my new place seems to have a too low upload rate to handle me multistreaming on both Chaturbate and Stripchat. My current upload is approx. 35 Mb/s, drops down to 25 when streaming. I'm gonna need to get a new, seaparate internet provider for myself. I've found several offers, but I'm not entirely sure what the upload rating should be for my streams to work properly? I'm looking at either 133 or 330. Please I absolutely need help, my streams have been lagging SO MUCH ever since I moved in here
Hi, That 130 and 330 MB/s can be misleading as that will be the download speed, you should check the upload speed (fibre is usually the same up and down). My speed is currently around 35MB/s download and 8MB/s upload (over copper) which allows me to stream in Full HD at 30fps, I am moving to fibre which is 400MB/s up and down, this will allow 4k multi streaming easily.
Also, if I use ethernet then I will get the 400MB/s, but my wifi is only capable of about 350 from my laptop, so that is something else to check.
And you need to check your wifi speed from the hub/router, your max ethernet speed if you are using it, and what your laptop wifi adaptor can handle.
So, 130 and 330 should both be good enough (if that is upload) , but I would go for the 330 in any case. Hope this helps xx
UPDATE! I got a new internet provider, I'm currently reaching +/- 65 Mb/s upload during multistreaming on 2 sites and the streams are SMOOTH AS BUTTER at 60 fps and 1080 p <3
